Latest Updates Coming to the Jungle Cruise

The final corner on the Jungle Cruise attraction has a new ending scene headed its way. As guests come to the final corner before departing they’ll no longer see Trader Sam, but rather a new Lost & Found Gift Shop featuring lost and found items that Sam has decided to sell. The Disney Parks Blog describes it like this:

Ever wonder what happened to that gramophone you accidentally left behind on the boat during your last adventure? How about that beloved pith helmet that went missing?

Word on the stream is that Alberta Falls, proprietor of the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd., has entrusted her longtime friend, Trader Sam, to manage the new Lost & Found location.  But, with Trader Sam being Trader Sam, there’s always an opportunity to make some extra money. After all, all the best rides end with a gift shop, right?

The attraction is not scheduled to reopen with Disneyland on April 30th, so guests will have to wait to see all the ride updates and new storyline as the Jungle Cruise Skippers guide guests through the attraction. On the right-hand side of the scene’s concept art there is a monkey sitting atop a camera with a sign above him advertising cruise photos. Does this mean that there will an end of the ride photo on the Jungle Cruise in the future? Only time will tell. Stay tuned as more updates about the Jungle Cruise are sure to come.
