When Downtown Disney reopened in July 2020 Tortilla Jo’s was a noticeable absence. Thankfully they returned shortly after the reopening. The adjoining Taqueria has only recently reopened though. Having another quick service location in Downtown Disney is much needed. For most of the Covid-reopening era the only quick service location in Downtown Disney was Earl of Sandwich. Ordering is similar to what you would experience at your local Chipotle restaurant. You choose from among four entrée options before moving down the assembly line to build out your entrée. Read below for both our review of the Nachos and a complete menu.
Our Order
I had never tried the nachos before, so that was what I chose as my entrée. The nachos start with a bed of tortilla chips covered in nacho cheese. They then take you through the assembly line to build your nachos. I chose steak asada as my protein before adding the following: beans, rice, shredded cheese, onion-cilantro, pico de gallo, and salsa verde. The nachos cost less than $10 after my legacy annual passholder discount was applied. Talk about a deal! I will definitely be ordering this dish again. I’ve loved the bowl, tacos, and burritos on visits prior to the shutdown, but these nachos were my personal favorite item I’ve gotten from the Taqueria. The chips held up well despite being bombarded with toppings. Definitely recommend this option.
