Review: New QuesaBirria Tacos

When the foodie guide for the reopening of DCA came out we knew we had to try these new tacos. You can find these QuesaBirria tacos at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. They cost $11.49. Legacy Passholders can get a discount (10 or 15 percent depending on their former annual pass level). Guests can mobile order, but be forewarned that Cocina Cucamonga is still struggling to get orders out in a timely manner. This might be partly due to the lack of dining options at the Pacific Wharf. Guests have limited options on where they can order food, so it might be the case that they are getting overloaded with orders. In any case, these tacos are worth checking out.

The New QuesaBirria Tacos

Review

The item is Braised Beef and Cheese Tacos with Tomatillo Salsa and Consomé on the side. The tacos themselves are simple but delicious. If I were to nit-pick I would say that for the price point they could have a bit more beef and cheese – especially given that if a guest wants rice or beans they must order an extra side of those items. The Consome was so hot (temperature wise) that it nearly scolded my mouth. That being said I found it enjoyable. The tacos were brimming with flavor and I found myself wishing that there was a third taco on the plate! The braised beef really was a standout. So while they might not be the best value at over eleven dollars for two tacos, they at least pack a lot of flavor. I would recommend these tacos – in fact, I will be getting them again on my next visit to Disney California Adventure park. Would you try these tacos on your next visit?
