Review: New Philly Cheesesteak Inspired Hot Dog

Each month the GCH Craftsman Grill at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa releases a new Hot Dog of the month. This month the Hot Dog of the month is the “Philly Cheese Dog.” The Philly Cheese Dog costs $11.99 if you’re a Magic Key Holder or Disney Vacation Club member you can score it at a discounted price.

Hot Dog of the Month – Philly Cheesesteak inspired Hot Dog (topped with Shaved Rib-Eye, Sautéed Onions and Bell Peppers and melty Cheese, served with Fries)

The hot dog tasted good. The sautéed onions, bell peppers, and cheese really stood out as great toppings for the hot dog. The shaved rib-eye, however, was so sparse that it’s hard for me to comment on it. I imagine it was high quality but there is so little of it that it was tough to detect. Nevertheless, that’s my only quibble. It was a good meal. The steak fries that came with it were really great. Give this one a try if you’re a hot dog of the month connoisseur.
