We’ve had the opportunity to have a few of the treats available at the Disneyland Resort for their Fourth of July celebration. The Disney Parks Blog has a full rundown of every item available for you to try HERE. We had the Red, White, and Blue Cake Shake from Black Tap in Downtown Disney, the Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles Hand-Dipped Chocolate Bar from Clarabelle’s Hand-Dipped Ice Cream in DCA, and the Red, White, and Blue Striped Cookie from Trolley Treats (though this one is available at just about every candy store at the Disneyland Resort).
The Red, White, and Blue Cake Shake ($17.00)
This massive, special CrazyShake is a vanilla shake featuring a vanilla frosted rim with red, white and blue sprinkles topped with red, white and blue cake, whipped cream, more sprinkles, and a cherry – perfect for your Independence Day celebrations. The shake will be a limited time offering, available from July 3-July 7, 2019. Like with all the CrazyShakes from Black Tap this one is messy, but delicious. We saw a person at the table next to us get their slice of cake in a to-go container. Without the massive slice of cake this would still be a fantastic vanilla milkshake. If you don’t make it in time Fourth of July celebration you can always get their standard cake shake which isn’t too dissimilar from this one.
Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles Hand-Dipped Chocolate Bar from Clarabelle’s Hand-Dipped Ice Cream in DCA ($5.69)
The Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Bar with Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles from Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream in Disney California Adventure. Celebrate Independence Day with one of these great dipped bars. No matter if you make it to the Parks and get this short-lived variation or go a few weeks from now, these dipped ice cream bars are always good. We’ve never had a bad one. Nicole loved this one (it had chocolate ice cream inside) and also loves the raspberry sorbet bar dipped in dark chocolate. You can even be like Michael Scott on pretzel day and order the works.
The Red, White, and Blue Striped Cookie ($3.99)
Not sure that this cookie is worth the $4 price tag. It’s a bit on the small side and doesn’t stand out from the other sugar or shortbread style cookies in the coosorkie case. My favorite cookie is still the Snickerdoodle. I thought that was a small missed opportunity that they didn’t do a big cookie like they did with the fantastic donut shaped Mickey ears cookie. Oh well, maybe next year! This cookie still got gobbled up – it wasn’t a bad cookie, just nothing life changing.
