Alfresco Tasting Terrace is exclusively dedicated to Disneyland Legacy Passholders at Disney California Adventure park, located on a terrace above the Wine Country Trattoria. The upstairs, outdoor lounge is made for relaxing with seating under wooden pergolas. The lounge is exclusive for Legacy Passholders, but there is a bit of good news – a Legacy Passholder can bring non-Legacy Passholders to the Terrace (only one LP needed per party). The views looking back at Buena Vista Street, Cars Land, and the Pacific Wharf are beautiful.
Bites and Appetizers
Condor Flats-Bread ($16.00) – Duck Confit, Goat Cheese, Seedless Grapes, Green Salad and Fig Jam
Bountiful Valley Charcuterie ($18.00) – Chef’s selection of Cheeses and Meats
Named after the long gone Bountiful Valley Farm land this assorted selection of meats, cheeses, bread, and figs, grapes, and olives was quite delightful. This was one we all grazed over for the entire experience as we enjoyed our drinks. There is a type of cheese for just about every type of cheese fan, including soft cheeses like brie. 4.5/5 rating
Screamin’ Cauliflower Ceviche ($14.00) – Citrus-marinated Cauliflower, Cucumber, Tomato, Mango, Onions, Cilantro, Jalapeños and Avocado, with crispy Tortilla Chips and Mango-Habanero Sauce
Mulholland Meatballs ($16.00) – House-made Meatballs, Spicy Creamy Tomato Sauce, Charred Broccolini, Orange Segments, Pickled Red Onions, Whipped Burrata, and Shaved Crostini
Slider Invasion ($18.00) – Beef Tenderloin Sliders with Chimichurri and Pickled Red Onions
Sunshine Plaza Signature Cocktails
5-4-3-2-1 ($15.00) – Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao, Coconut-Pineapple Cream, Simple Syrup, fresh Lime Juice
Drop In… If you Dare ($17.00) – Hendrick’s Gin, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, fresh Lemon Juice, and Maraschino Cherry Mix
The included cherry mix gets squeezed/”dropped” into the drink to turn swirl around before, ultimately, turning the drink red. Our friend Eric (DorkyDisneyDad on Instagram) said that he enjoyed it, but cautioned that he wouldn’t squeeze all of the cherry inside next time.
The Stinger ($15.00) – Dulce Vida Pineapple-Jalapeño Tequila, Cointreau and House-made Orange-Habañero Simple Syrup
Check out this video from Wonders of Magic where they review this drink! They enjoyed it!
A Bug’s Drink (Non-Alcoholic) ($5.75) – Minute Maid Lemonade with Granny Smith Apple Syrup, with fresh Watermelon
Conclusion
We enjoyed our time at this lounge. Be careful though, because on a day-by-day ticket where hours are precious (compared to when we could leisurely enjoy the parks due to having annual passes), you can lose two or more hours of your park day without noticing it. They gave us a reusable bamboo straw at the conclusion of the meal which was both fun and a bit of a sad thing. Fun because it’s a nice straw that will be reusable in the parks, but it says “annual passholder” on it.
If you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon/evening experience with fun drinks and appetizers, this would be a great place to visit. No word from Disney about how long this experience will be available. Reservations are recommended, but you can try walking-up for seating. We were able to walk up but were told that this isn’t always available.
