Funnel cakes might be one of the few foods that are synonymous with the theme park food experience. I’ve been to several theme parks in the southern California region and I can’t recall visiting one that didn’t have funnel cake available. Why is that? I think we all know the answer – funnel cakes are seriously good eats.
At Disneyland, you can find funnel cakes at two separate locations – The Stage Door Cafe and The Hungry Bear Restaurant. Disneyland being Disneyland means you have several options for eating these delicious, fried treats at both restaurants.
Stage Door Cafe Funnel Cake Options
They have the standard funnel cake experience topped with powdered sugar, a house-made funnel cake with strawberry topping (the featured image for this article), and a seasonal funnel cake. They also have the Get Your Ears On special Strawberry Cheesecake Funnel Cake (available until the celebration ends).
The Hungry Bear Funnel Cake Options
Hungry Bear actually has a few more funnel cake options (as of this article) than Stage Door does. They have a Sizzlin’ Hot Funnel Cake topped with spicy chips and cheese sauce for the adventurous. Perhaps the best funnel cake at the Disneyland Resort – the Churro Funnel Cake (best of both worlds!), the same standard powdered sugar funnel cake as Stage Door, and a Cherry Cola Funnel Cake which features a funnel cake topped with cherries which were stewed in hot Coca-Cola and whipped cream.
If you are a fan of funnel cakes, then Disneyland is definitely going to be a place that will meet your needs. In addition to a few stalwarts like the powdered sugar funnel cake, the strawberry topped funnel cake, and the churro funnel cake they (Disneyland) are always pushing the envelope with creative new seasonal funnel cakes for specific times of the year. Both Stage Door and Hungry Bear offer mobile ordering, so make sure you save yourself time by using mobile ordering through the Disneyland App. The Disneyland App also has all the up to date funnel cake options at both locations.
