The 2020 Food & Wine Festival in Disney California Adventure park was only two weeks into its run last March when the global pandemic hit and the Disneyland Resort was forced to close their doors. After nearly a year of wondering if or when they would be able to use the tabs purchased on Sip & Savor passes last year it seems that there is now a refund option. Guests who purchased the aforementioned Sip & Savor passes will be able to request a refund for each of their unused tabs for $7 per tab. The tabs must be attached to the placard for it to be valid.
How to Request a Refund
Go to the Disneyland Help center. Enter your appropriate Name/Info and scrolls down on the Subject toolbar to the following:
You can get more information over the phone by calling 888-231-7639, but according to the cast member I spoke with the only method for getting your refund right now is via the web request. They estimated that it could take anywhere between two and five business days to get a response. You will have the option of receiving a Disney e-gift card or having a check mailed to you (according to a cast member I spoke with about the matter).
Official Word from the Disneyland Website
The 2020 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival did not take place as planned through April 21, 2020 because of the temporary closure of the theme parks in line with direction from government officials. Due to this unprecedented situation, Guests who purchased a 2020 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival Sip and Savor Pass may request a refund in the amount of $7.00 for each qualifying entitlement tab. Qualifying entitlement tabs are unused entitlement tabs that remain attached to the 2020 Food & Wine Festival Sip and Savor Pass and are returned to us. Detached tabs will not qualify for refunds.
To request a refund, we ask that you choose one of the following methods:
Online: Submit a request through the Help Center by selecting “2020 Food & Wine Sip and Savor Pass Refund Request” in the “Subject” drop-down menu and filling out the form
Within 2 days of submitting your initial request online or by phone, you’ll receive return instructions and details on how and when you may receive your refund, including a printable Service Request Form that must be completed and submitted along with your 2020 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Sip and Savor Pass with the attached qualifying unused entitlement tabs. Please note that your refund cannot be processed without a properly completed Service Request Form. Upon verification, your refund will be issued as a Disney Gift Card eGift sent to the email address designated by you in your initial refund request form. A shipping reimbursement in the amount of $3.00 will also be added to your refund amount. Please note that any applicable refund may take up to 30 days to process.
In all instances, the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Sip and Savor Pass will not be returned to you.
