Disneyland is a magical place. When we were children, nothing evoked a higher sense of awe than walking down Main Street U.S.A with our parents as our day started. Every land felt as if you were being transported into a new fairy tale world. Nicole’s dad would tell her “we are going to Walt’s Place” because she didn’t make the connection between that and its real name of Disneyland. The euphoric excitement when seeing the Disneyland sign was something we both remember from our childhoods. Walt’s Place was special then. It’s special now.
As parents, we now see that same sense of awe and wonder in our own children. The excitement though is not just limited to rides. They are just as excited about the pretzels and churros as they are about going for a spin on their favorite rides. If we are being honest, we are often more excited about the foods and drinks than we are about the rides. We are getting old.
In May 2017 FoodAtDisneyland was started, as a hobby, to keep track of the different foods and drinks at the Disneyland Resort. What began as a hobby has morphed into something much larger than we dared dream. As of September 2024 we have 328,000 followers on Instagram with thousands of other also following along at TikTok (116,000) and Facebook (202,000). We hope that in some small way we can help you, your family, and/or your friends have a magical experience as you eat and drink your way through Walt’s Place.
We are normal guests when we visit Disneyland. Our faces aren’t shown on our account, which allows us to get an authentic guest experience in the Parks – good or bad. We don’t have insider access. Everything we eat and feature on our account inside Disneyland or DCA is paid for by us. We are normal people who happen to love Disneyland. We visit the parks both with our three kids and without them to get a varied experience in the theme parks.
