Face Masks Returning to the Disneyland Resort

With Covid-19 cases rising in California, Disneyland plans to require guests and cast members to wear masks while indoors, regardless of vaccination status. This change will take effect on Friday, July 30th.

We are adapting our health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials, and will require Cast Members and Guests ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status,” park officials said in a media statement.

This news comes a day after the CDC issued new guidance recommending that everyone – vaccinated or not – wear masks while indoors in public settings. With fall and winter just around the corner it’s possible that we could receive more changes to the guidelines and rules.

“Beginning July 30, face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors, including on many attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings remain optional for all Guests in outdoor common areas.”
