REVIEW: Beef Bulgogi Burrito and More at the Reopened Lucky Fortune Cookery

Lucky Fortune Cookery recently reopened and we tried a few of their menu items. Click here to see the full menu for the restaurant.

Menu Items We Tried

Beef Bulgogi Burrito ($13.99)

The Beef Bulgogi has seen a minor change since reopening (compared to the version we tried before the park closure). It has Bulgogi with rice and a mildly spicy cabbage slaw in a flour tortilla. Garlic-infused tapioca chips come on the side (I thought the chips were so-so). This burrito tasted so much better to me than it did the previous time I got it. The touch of spice from the slaw really gave the savory Bulgogi an added depth of flavor – a great fusion like burrito to me. A 4/5 rating.

Teriyaki Chicken with Sautéed Vegetables and Steamed Rice ($12.99)

The Teriyaki Chicken with sautéed vegetables and steamed rice is solid, but nothing spectacular. It seems like you get a smaller portion now than you used to, though maybe that’s just perception. The Teriyaki sauce is nice, the vegetables are nice (wish it had more!), the chicken is okay, and the steamed rice was nice. A 3/5 rating.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee ($5.99)

This one is billed as a “a bold robust Vietnamese Coffee with Sweet Condensed Milk served over Ice,” and it certainly was an apt description. Sweet, strong, and creamy cold coffee. I liked this quite a bit. Another great cold coffee option for guests at DCA.

Final Thoughts

We are glad that yet another dining option has reopened for guests. We are higher on Lucky Fortune Cookery than some, but we won’t apologize for that! It’s not the greatest food you’ll ever eat in your life, but it’s solid. Getting fusion burritos and ramen bowls in a theme park? Sign us up.
