Beast’s Forbidden Burger ($16.49)
The Beast’s Forbidden Burger has come to Red Rose Taverne. The hefty burger is a replacement for the Beast’s Burger. I am very excited for the change after eating this item. This burger is big, has higher quality beef, and has some seriously good flavors inside the ciabatta bun. It has a slice of Wagyu beef steak, a 1/3 pound Angus beef patty, béarnaise aïoli, caramelized/roasted onions, and pickled peppers on a toasted ciabatta bun.
It was expensive for a burger, no doubt, but I didn’t feel cheated after having eaten it. I got a nice medium piece of the Wagyu beef on top of the already big 1/3 pound beef patty which kicked this up several notches. Not to mention that this easily could have been shared between 2 people due to how much meat was on it. I’d also add that it was a little on the messy side, but I didn’t mind due to the taste. The garlic-parmesan pomme frites were a stellar companion side. I found myself licking my fingers at the conclusion of this meal. My compliments to the chef(s) who made this. Get over to Red Rose Taverne to try this new burger if you like beef!
