Eat Like Walt Dinner Celebration

The Bowers Museum will be hosting a special exhibit Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic from March 7th through August 30th this year. The exhibit celebrates The Walt Disney Company on the 50th anniversary of its archives, with behind-the-scenes access never before granted to the public. In addition to this the Bowers Museum is hosting special celebrations – including the ‘Eat Like Walt’ dinner celebration on Saturday, March 21st. The event will be hosted by Marcy Carriker Smothers, author of the fabulous book Eat Like Walt: The Wonderful World of Disney Food. Carriker Smother will give commentary and insights throughout a multi-course dinner prepared by the chef at the Bowers Museum’s fine dining restaurant, Tangata. This sounds like an event that Disney food and Disney history enthusiasts won’t want to miss! The deadline for ticket reservations is 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 12th.

Itinerary for the evening

5 PM | Exhibition-viewing and cocktail hour
6 PM | Keynote presentation by Marcy Carriker Smothers
6:45 PM | Scotch Mist toast (Walt’s favorite!)
7 PM | Dinner with stories by Marcy and remarks by Tanagta’s Chef
