The Tropical Hideaway has seen several new items fly into their inventory recently. They’ve added peanut butter and jelly mochi, savory lumpia, and sweet lumpia options. However, first and foremost in our minds are the new Bao and the new Loaded Dole Whip Float.
Dole Whip Rasperry-Lemon Float $7.99
Tropical Hideaway has been our favorite spot to get Dole Whip since it opened 15 months ago, but this one is a cut above the other offerings in Chad’s opinion. The loaded whip float is topped with a candied kiwi slice, diced mangoes, and strawberry pieces while the rim is coated in toasted coconut bits which adds even more flavor. Fans of P.O.G juice will be delighted to know that the juice is passion fruit, orange, and guava. The lemon whip pairs perfectly with the raspberry. This is a winner folks. The cast members weren’t sure if it’s permanent or temporary – we hope it is permanent! 🤞🏼A bonus is that you get a spork with your purchase!
Loco Moco Bao $5.99
This bao might be on the expensive side for a single bao at $6, but at least it is delicious. It was like having Hawai’i in a bun. It had spiced ham, ground beef, egg, and mushroom gravy. I didn’t detect any mushrooms in it while eating, but the gravy was delicious. If you’re a loco moco fan then this will be a great option for you to snack on.
